Basketball Game Preview: Rockport-Fulton Pirates vs. Ingleside Mustangs

Rockport-Fulton has gone 8-2 against Ingleside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rockport-Fulton Pirates will head out to square off against the Ingleside Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Ingleside took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rockport-Fulton, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rockport-Fulton beat Jones 62-56.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rockport-Fulton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Roman Cox, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Cox has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brian Kizer Jr, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Ingleside entered their contest against Sinton on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Ingleside came up short against Sinton, falling 56-35. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Rockport-Fulton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-15. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Ingleside, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.

Rockport-Fulton ended up a good deal behind Ingleside in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 58-44. Can Rockport-Fulton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
