Baseball Recap: Pearl Takes a Loss

After flying high against Morton last Saturday, Pearl came back down to earth. Pearl fell just short of the Northwest Rankin Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Pearl's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Northwest Rankin, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northwest Rankin beat Pearl by a score of 9-0 on Friday.
