Soccer Recap: Fountain Valley Find Success

Fountain Valley proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Gilpin County Eagles.

Isabel Garza and Olivia D'Ambrosia scored both of Fountain Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Fountain Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Gilpin County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-3-2.

Fountain Valley has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Manitou Springs on the 3rd. As for Gilpin County, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 win against Twin Peaks Classical Academy on the 2nd.
