Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cochrane-Fountain City). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 68-25 blowout they got against the Augusta Beavers. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Beavers are ranked 377th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cochrane-Fountain City now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Augusta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
