Basketball Recap: Eastmark Comes Up Short

Eastmark has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westview Knights.

Despite the loss, Eastmark still got an impressive performance from Rhys Walcott, who posted 20 points. Walcott's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Dayne Silver was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Eastmark smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Eastmark's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Westview, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Eastmark will welcome Crismon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastmark is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season. As for Westview, they will host Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
