Basketball Recap: Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Takes a Loss

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop was the 65-62 winner over Sleepy Eye when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds fell to the Sleepy Eye Indians 57-51. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Sleepy Eye, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sibley East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sleepy Eye, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Springfield at 6:00 p.m.
