Cusick won the last time they faced Republic and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cusick Panthers took down the Republic Tigers 57-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

When it comes to explaining why Republic lost, don't look at Landon Short. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 51.3% of Republic's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Logan Larsen, who had seven points and five boards.

Cusick has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Republic, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
