Baseball Recap: Kennedy Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennedy Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Richland Bombers by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lancers have suffered since April 8th.

Kennedy Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ka'Ipo Matsushima, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another was Atticus Blum, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Kennedy Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Richland, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

As of now, neither Kennedy Catholic nor the Bombers have any future games scheduled.
