Volleyball Game Preview: St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs vs. St. Bernard's Crusaders

The St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs will square off against the St. Bernard's Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

St. Vincent de Paul is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on North Hills Christian with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Vincent de Paul took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-8, 25-7.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard's came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was St. Bernard's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-12.

St. Vincent de Paul's win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for St. Bernard's, their victory bumped their record up to 17-9.

St. Vincent de Paul was able to grind out a solid win over St. Bernard's in their previous meeting back in October of 2015, winning 2-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
