Basketball Recap: Danielle Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Covenant Academy over John Hancock Academy

Covenant Academy lost against John Hancock Academy last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Covenant Academy Rams took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Hancock Academy Rebels.

Covenant Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Danielle Williams, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (70%). Rachel Williams was another key player, going 6-for-13 on her way to 18 points and seven boards.

Covenant Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for John Hancock Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season.
