Baseball Recap: Silver Creek Has No Trouble Against Alamosa

Silver Creek saw some tournament action on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Alamosa Mean Moose with a sharp 19-4 victory. The Raptors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

Nolan Gaccetta tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Connor Lopez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Taylor, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Silver Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alamosa only posted an OBP of .391.

Silver Creek now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Alamosa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Silver Creek has already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Fairview on the 1st. As for Alamosa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-8 win against Gunnison on the 1st.
