Recap: Goretti Gael vs. Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers
Even though the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers scored an imposing 61 points on Sunday, the Goretti Gael still came out on top. Goretti took their game against Berlin Brothersvalley 68-61. Winning may never get old, but Goretti sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kilah Dandridge was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with two steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Danica Bennett was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Goretti has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goretti on the road again on Saturday and play against North Point at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Berlin Brothersvalley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Star at 7:15 p.m. on January 15th. North Star will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 558th, while Berlin Brothersvalley is ranked 114th).
