Football Recap: Brystal Albright's Menacing Defense Leads Centennial over Norco

Centennial and Norco pushed the score to 48-19 the last time they played Norco, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Huskies walked away with an 18-6 victory over the Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Centennial didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Albright, Alyssa Maldonado, Lola Montanez, and Dominique Adams picked up one apiece. Albright is crushing it when it comes to interceptions: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Centennial now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Norco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Centennial is taking a road trip to face off against El Toro at 4:00 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Norco, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-0 win against Chino Hills on the 27th.
