Basketball Recap: Monroe Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Monroe Central had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Easton Foster did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The Monroe Central Golden Bears simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Muncie Burris Owls 75-37 thanks in part to Foster, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Monroe Central's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Konkle, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Monroe Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Muncie Burris, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Monroe Central and Lapel will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Monroe Central has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 221 points over their last three contests. As for Muncie Burris, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 41-29 loss against Elwood on the 19th.
