Softball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Franklin's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Brentwood Bruins on Tuesday. The Admirals have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Chloe Rowland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Franklin's record now sits at 1-9. As for Brentwood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coming up, Franklin will face off against Overton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brentwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something Brentwood will no doubt try to take advantage of.
