Preview: Grace Baptist Academy Golden Eagles vs. Christian Community Colts
After both having extra time off, The Grace Baptist Academy Golden Eagles and the Christian Community Colts will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Grace Baptist Academy sitting on five straight victories and Christian Community on six.
Last Friday, Grace Baptist Academy faced Lancaster Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Grace Baptist Academy put the hurt on Lancaster Christian Academy with a sharp 45-20 win. Grace Baptist Academy pushed the score to 38-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Lancaster Christian Academy had little chance of recovering from.
Jacob Mock had a dynamite game for Grace Baptist Academy, rushing for 145 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. Grace Baptist Academy also got a significant boost from Walter Bianco, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.
Meanwhile, Christian Community blew past South Haven Christian, posting a 58-14 win at home. The result was nothing new for Christian Community, who have now won five contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Their wins bumped Grace Baptist Academy to 7-2 and Christian Community to 6-1.
Grace Baptist Academy lost to Christian Community on the road by a decisive 44-27 margin in their previous meeting back in August. Can Grace Baptist Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
