Football Game Preview: Warrior Run Defenders vs. Troy Trojans

Warrior Run has won four straight games at home, while Troy has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Defenders will host the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Warrior Run is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past South Williamsport 41-7. The Defenders pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mountaineers had little chance of recovering from.

Maxwell Fogelman was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 74 yards and one score on only five carries. Those 60 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. James Keifer was another key player, throwing for 144 yards and three TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Troy won against Canton two weeks ago with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Trojans took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-8 victory over Wellsboro. With the Trojans ahead 35-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Warrior Run's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Troy, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 10-1.
