Scholars Guild Academy put another one in the bag  on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by  a  19-1 margin over the Lyndon Academy Terriers. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Terriers, too.
 Alanna Maher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Noelle Boeckman was a standout: she got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That  home run marked the first that  she  launched this season.  Madison Kenny was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Scholars Guild Academy  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Scholars Guild Academy pushed their record up to 5-0 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lyndon Academy, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Looking ahead, Scholars Guild Academy is taking a road trip to  take on Covington Academy  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Covington Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game  this season. As for Lyndon Academy, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Trinity Prep  at 4:30  p.m.
