Football Recap: Claxton Takes a Loss

Claxton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Bryan County Redskins, falling 42-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 44-19 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Claxton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bryan County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Claxton is set to challenge their familiar foe Metter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bryan County will face off against rival Screven County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Anddreas McKinny and AB Hilton.
