Volleyball Recap: Harnett Central Starts Season with Win Against Midway

Harnett Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Midway Raiders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Midway's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ella Clark, who had 44 assists and six digs, and Abbie Beasley, who had 17 digs and two assists. Clark is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 26 games she's played dating back to last season. Kaedyn Moran was another key player, hitting 78.4% for 33 kills and 14 digs and four aces.

Looking ahead, Harnett Central will square off against Jack Britt at 5:45 p.m. on the 20th. As for Midway, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Cleveland on the 13th.
