The Biggs Wolverines will head out to square off against the Quincy Trojans at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Biggs has 13 straight wins, Quincy has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Biggs got the win against Pierce by a conclusive 13-7. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Martin made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and three runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played.
In other batting news, Collin Beck was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Russell Cote, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Biggs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Quincy was a bit more limited in their game two weeks ago. They came up short against Hamilton, falling 11-1.
Quincy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Schmid, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Biggs' record is now 14-2. As for Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Biggs has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Quincy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Biggs' way against Quincy when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Biggs made off with a 14-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
