Soccer Game Preview: Sullivan County vs. Towanda

The Sullivan County Griffins are taking a road trip to challenge the Towanda Black Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Sullivan County's offense. They lost 4-0 to Millville on Thursday. Sullivan County have struggled against Millville recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Towanda). They had just enough and edged out Shamokin Area 4-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Towanda needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Sullivan County's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Towanda, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.

Sullivan County suffered a grim 7-3 defeat to Towanda in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Griffins were down 5-2.
