Basketball Game Preview: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Armstrong Wildcats

The Patrick Henry Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Armstrong Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, Patrick Henry was beaten by Atlee 75-30. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Armstrong had to suffer through a 71-34 loss at the hands of Highland Springs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Springers are ranked 55th).

This is the second loss in a row for Armstrong and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Patrick Henry, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Patrick Henry strolled past Armstrong when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 70-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Patrick Henry since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
