Volleyball Recap: East Union Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Marvin Menor and Isaac Serrato

After flying high against Patterson last Monday, East Union came back down to earth. East Union lost 3-0 to the Manteca Buffaloes on Wednesday. The Lancers have struggled against the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

East Union took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-20.

East Union's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaac Serrato, who had ten assists and two aces, and Marvin Menor, who had eight assists and five digs. Serrato is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

East Union's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Manteca, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
