Volleyball Recap: Lakes Eagles vs. Grayslake North Knights
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lakes had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Grayslake North Knights. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Lakes easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19.
Adelyn Martin paced Lakes' offense, picking up nine kills. Martin got some help from
Paige Klassy and her 14 assists.
Riley Bell-Nance controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Lakes' record is now 20-14. As for Grayslake North, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-25 record this season.
As of now, neither Lakes nor Grayslake North have any future games scheduled.
