Softball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

If East Ridge was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Phelps last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Shelby Valley Wildcats on Monday, falling 13-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

East Ridge has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Shelby Valley, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-12.

East Ridge has already played their next game, an 11-4 victory against Betsy Layne on the 29th. As for Shelby Valley, they will host Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
