Baseball Game Preview: Troy Flying Horses vs. Lansingburgh Knights

The Troy Flying Horses are taking a road trip to square off against the Lansingburgh Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lansingburgh took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Troy, who comes in off a win.

Troy was handed a 11-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Cohoes 3-1.

Troy's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kayne Behan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Gabe Bentley was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

Meanwhile, Lansingburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Hudson Falls, falling 11-2.

Troy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lansingburgh, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Troy took their victory against Lansingburgh in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 16-0 score. Do the Flying Horses have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
