Preview: Clarendon Hall Saints vs. Cathedral Academy Generals
Clarendon Hall has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Cathedral Academy Generals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Clarendon Hall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-43 to Thomas Sumter Academy.
Meanwhile, Cathedral Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Dorchester Academy on Friday, taking the game 53-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cathedral Academy.
Cathedral Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jalyn Almeida led the charge by scoring 23 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Almeida has scored at least a third of Cathedral Academy's points. Claire Griffin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Clarendon Hall's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Cathedral Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
