Basketball Recap: South County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South County can now relate to. The match between the South County Stallions and the Woodson Cavaliers didn't end well, with the South County Stallions falling 66-48. The Stallions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, when they won 51-49.

Woodson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Those 15 points gave Taylor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Limbago, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards.

South County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Woodson, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

South County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodson, they and Hayfield will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Hayfield will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Woodson surely won't give up without a fight.
