Softball Recap: Bremen Comes Up Short

Bremen lost against Tippecanoe Valley back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chrissy Grabowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Tippecanoe Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Bremen will be playing at home against Plymouth at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Rochester at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Zebras have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
