Recap: Wynot Blue Devils vs. Homer Knights
The Wynot Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Homer 65-26 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Wynot has managed all season.
Dylan Heine was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for he. Another player making a difference was Joseph Sudbeck, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Wynot pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Homer, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Wynot will be home for the holidays to greet Wausa on Friday. Hopefully Wausa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. Homer will take on Lawton-Bronson in a holiday battle at TBD on Friday at. Lawton-Bronson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Homer in their respective states (Lawton-Bronson is ranked 90th in Iowa, while Homer is ranked 256th in Nebraska).
