Baseball Recap: Western Albemarle Comes Up Short

Western Albemarle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-1 to the Albemarle Patriots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Western Albemarle saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jay Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Western Albemarle's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Albemarle, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.

Western Albemarle is taking a road trip to take on Monticello at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Albemarle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
