Idalou is a perfect 5-0 against Friona since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Idalou will welcome Friona at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Idalou's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Friona has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Idalou fell victim to Shallowater and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Friona lost 10-1 to Littlefield on Saturday.

Friona saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Rosales, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases. Those three hits gave Rosales a new career-high.

Idalou's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-5-1. As for Friona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Idalou took their win against Friona when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 28-2. Will Idalou repeat their success, or does Friona has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
