Basketball Recap: Washington Hatchets vs. Vincennes Lincoln Alices
The Washington Hatchets entered their tilt with the Vincennes Lincoln Alices with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Washington came out on top against the Alices by a score of 53-42 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Washington, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Vincennes Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Joel Sanders, who scored 16 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Joshua Clegg, who scored five points along with two steals.
Washington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Vincennes Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
