Preview: Richland Royals vs. Argyle Eagles
Richland has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Argyle Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 811th, while Argyle is ranked 23rd).
Richland suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 63-38 defeat at the hands of Denton.
Meanwhile, Argyle entered their tilt with Lake Dallas with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Argyle enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over Lake Dallas on Tuesday.
Richland's loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-17. As for Argyle, their victory bumped their record up to 22-3.
Richland skirted past Argyle 58-55 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Richland repeat their success, or does Argyle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
