Baseball Recap: Army-Navy Takes a Loss

Army-Navy was the 6-5 winner over St. Joseph Academy when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday.

Army-Navy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for St. Joseph Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12.

Looking ahead, Army-Navy will venture away from home to square off against Orange Glen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will host Bonsall at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Legionnaires have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.91 runs per game on average), something the Crusaders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
