Baseball Game Preview: R.A. Long Lumberjacks vs. Woodland Beavers

For the second straight game, R.A. Long will face off against Woodland. The Lumberjacks will head out to square off against the Beavers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. R.A. Long's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Woodland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

R.A. Long barely beat Woodland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lumberjacks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Beavers a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Lumberjacks have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

R.A. Long has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Woodland, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
