Soccer Game Preview: Big Spring vs. Estacado

The Big Spring Steers will head out on the road to square off against the Estacado Matadors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Big Spring is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Pecos on Friday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. Big Spring's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Estacado fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Matadors who were credited with the win on Friday. Estacado got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Andrews' three.

Big Spring now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Estacado, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10-1.

Big Spring got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in January against Estacado by a conclusive 5-2 score. In that contest, the Steers amassed a halftime lead of 4-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
