Baseball Recap: Neelyville Gets the Win

While Neelyville's victory against Clearwater wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Fightin' Tigers 7-6. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Fightin' Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Owen Conner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Braiden Hover also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Neelyville's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Clearwater, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coming up, Neelyville will face off against Scott City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clearwater, they will host Ellington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
