Cornwall Central and Wallkill are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Dragons will square off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cornwall Central is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Cornwall Central came up short against Goshen Central and fell 5-1.

Molly Violetti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Wallkill was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to New Paltz. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since March 30th.

Cornwall Central now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Wallkill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-2.

Cornwall Central suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Wallkill in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
