Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Argonauts vs. Mooresville Christian Eagles

The Riverside Argonauts will take on the Mooresville Christian Eagles at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Mooresville Christian will be up against a hot Riverside squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Riverside simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Eminence 63-23. The Argonauts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mooresville Christian entered their tilt with Purdue Broad Ripple on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Lynx 71-50. With the Eagles ahead 41-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Riverside better keep an eye on Gresh Warren. He was instrumental in Mooresville Christian's win, going 12-for-20 en route to 28 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Warren has been hot recently, having posted five or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe Warren, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 15 points and four steals.

Mooresville Christian pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.2 points. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Riverside didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mooresville Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win.
