Basketball Game Preview: Wapsie Valley Warriors vs. Hudson Pirates

Having just played yesterday, the Wapsie Valley Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Hudson Pirates at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Wapsie Valley is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Wapsie Valley came up short against Aplington-Parkersburg and fell 61-49.

Meanwhile, Hudson humbled Columbus with a 77-32 victory. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Hudson is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Wapsie Valley, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Wapsie Valley might still be hurting after the 56-36 defeat they got from Hudson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Wapsie Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
