Recap: Conrad Science Red Wolves vs. Benjamin Franklin Electrons

The Conrad Science Red Wolves fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Benjamin Franklin Electrons on Sunday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Electrons by a score of 94-91. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Conrad Science came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 11th in Delaware, while Benjamin Franklin is ranked 294th in Pennsylvania).

Benjamin Franklin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nazire Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Johnson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Soukare Fane, who scored 23 points.

Conrad Science has fallen quite a ways from their 13-5 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Benjamin Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conrad Science will challenge Brandywine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benjamin Franklin's road trip will continue as they head out to face South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on December 19th. South Philadelphia comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
