Preview: Glen Allen Jaguars vs. Freeman Mavericks
Glen Allen and Freeman are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Glen Allen Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Freeman Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Glen Allen was able to grind out a solid victory over North Stafford, taking the game 64-52. With that win, Glen Allen brought their scoring average up to 51 points per game.
Kris Tiller was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 29 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Glen Allen's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Chavis, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Freeman had just enough and edged Thomas Jefferson out 49-46 on Friday.
The victory makes it two in a row for Glen Allen and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Freeman, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Glen Allen beat Freeman 63-52 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Glen Allen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Freeman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
