Baseball Game Preview: Frontier Falcons vs. Clinton Central Bulldogs

The Frontier Falcons will take on the Clinton Central Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Frontier is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Delphi Community just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Oracles by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Clinton Central fell victim to Clinton Prairie and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Gophers, falling 11-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Clinton Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Boone, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Clinton Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Frontier came out on top in a nail-biter against Clinton Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
