Baseball Game Preview: Germantown Red Devils vs. Cordova Wolves

The Germantown Red Devils will face off against the Cordova Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Germantown has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Germantown came up short against Houston on Monday, falling 23-1. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Germantown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremiah Hubbard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Cordova made easy work of Ridgeway on Friday and carried off an 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Cordova and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Germantown, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Germantown took their win against Cordova in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-2 score. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
