Baseball Recap: Piper Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Piper's offense. They came up short against the Southridge Spartans on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The Bengals just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Piper's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Southridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Piper will challenge Coral Springs Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southridge, they will be taking part in a tournament against Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Southridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
