Rockingham County came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Atkins Camels 63-36. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Atkins' loss came despite strong showings from Sanaa Puryear and Amanda Worrell. Puryear posted 16 points, while Worrell went 5-for-9 on her way to 10 points and five rebounds. What's more, Puryear also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024.

Rockingham County pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points over those games. As for Atkins, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

As of now, neither Rockingham County nor Atkins have any future games scheduled.
