Baseball Game Preview: NCSSM: Durham Unicorns vs. Falls Lake Firebirds

NCSSM: Durham is 0-6 against Falls Lake since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. NCSSM: Durham will challenge Falls Lake at 4:00 p.m. NCSSM: Durham has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

NCSSM: Durham is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Hillside, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Unicorns have lost by exactly ten runs.

NCSSM: Durham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Bringewatt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Falls Lake was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 19-11 margin over Warren County. Considering the Firebirds' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Falls Lake got a massive performance out of Kameron Hill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Hill has become a key player for Falls Lake: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jacob Watson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Falls Lake's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for NCSSM: Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

NCSSM: Durham might still be hurting after the 18-1 loss they got from Falls Lake when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can NCSSM: Durham avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
