Football Recap: Hershey Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Hershey dropped to 5-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 29-22 to the Kearney Catholic Stars. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Stars 8-0 in the first quarter.

Cole Murdock threw for 34 yards on two of six attempts. Rhodee Hill was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.

As for Kearney Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.5 points on average this season.

A big part of Kearney Catholic's win came down to the chemistry between Cole Burg and his top target Jacob Bosshamer. Burg gained 154 total yards and a touchdown while Bosshamer threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes. What's more, Bosshamer racked up 146.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Atreyu May also helped with two scores in total.
